(I've never tried them all)
1. A damp rag dipped in baking soda cleans crayon marks on walls. Comes of with little effort.
2. Use rubbing alcohol on paper towel to remove permanent marker from appliances and countertops.
3. Cut S.O.S. cleaning pads in halves or quarters with a pair of scissors. You will waste less dirty, smelly, rusty pads. This also keeps scissors sharp.
4. Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least 3 hours prior to burning.
5. To clean artificial flowers, pour some salt into a paper bag and add the flowers. Shake vigorously as the salt will absorb all the dust and dirt and leave your artificial flowers looking like new.
6. Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.
7. Freeze left over wine into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.
8. Spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb in any room to create a lovely light scent in each room when the light is turned on.
9. Spray your Tupperware with nonstick cooking spray before pouring in tomato based sauces and there won't be any stains.
10. When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.
11. Clear a sink drain by dropping three Alka Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of Heinz White Vinegar. Wait a few minutes, then run the hot water.
12. When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help bring out the corn's natural sweetness.
13. To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a drop or two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and bring to a boil on stovetop.

Great suggestions! I just posted my very first TT thread today if you'd like to stop by :)
Great advice. If you add a few drops of milk to the water while boiling the corn (in addition to the sugar) you get the best tasting corn.

Thanks for the great list! If I may, I'd like to add spraying Pam on the inside lid of a honey jar.
Have a wonderful day!
An even better way to remove permanent marker from hard surfaces (even wood!) is to use a rubber eraser. It works beautifully, and it doesn't harm the finish on wood furniture.
Love your blog. Found you on BlogHer.
Great ideas! I especially love #s 6,9, 10 & 11. Happy TT!
"Clear a sink drain by dropping three Alka Seltzer tablets down the drain..." What could be going through the mind of the first person to try this?
