Still Here

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth or died from the stress of NaBloPoMo. I've been working on a ton of things for Christmas. This includes shopping, making, cleaning, and decision making. (as in-what the heck to buy for people!) Also, Jake was out of town for a day and a half so I was here holding down the fort.

We woke up on December first to snow falling, a sure sign that the Christmas holiday season was upon us. We've had continuous snow since then, but not much accumulation yet. It certainly looks pretty though. Jake and I hung up our Christmas lights too. I'll have to get a picture of it to post here. It really looks pretty and far superior to what our neighbors have put up. *brag brag* One of them may have a giant, plastic, snow globe but it does not compare to our lights.

Today is Thursday 13 and again I'm not prepared. I'll have to see if I can whip something up before the end of the day. I don't know if I'll have any time.

We stopped doing any holiday things several years ago. No stress, no buying, no dealing with crowds, no BS of any kind related, except of course dealing with the stressed out crowds and traffic wherever we go outside the house these days!! We also don't pay the power company to show off our spirit by hanging lights on our house. Pooey, now if the power company would pay US to show spirit that might be different! Happy stress and expense to you and yours!!
