Moving Clocks Ahead

Recently James has decided to change his sleep schedule from waking up at 8am to 7. Now, I REALLY am not complaining! 7am is certainly more tolerable than 5am or 6am but I was really enjoying being able to sleep in until 8. I know-I know, when you become a parent you're supposed to hand over your "stay up late/sleep in late" card but I'm having a hard time completely letting go. I am totally a night owl and love staying up til the wee hours of the morning. I feel more productive that way. Before we had James, on the weekends I would stay up til 2 or 3am and then just sleep in until 11.

Anyhow. Back to reality. We tried putting him to bed later thinking that staying up later he'd sleep in later. Nope. We tried putting him to bed a little earlier. No. However, I think Daylight Savings Time is going to solve our problem! While we're all getting screwed out of an hour of sleep this weekend; when Jamie wakes up on Sunday at 7...it will now be 8. Yippee! We'll see if this theory really works. I suppose it means we'll have another dilemma on our hands next year when we "Fall Behind" but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Somehow I don't think I'll ever put the words "Daylight Saving Time begins" and "yippee!" in the same thought, sentence, whatever. :)
