It's been awhile since I've done a Jamie update. Today he had a doctors appointment with his six month immunizations and a flu shot. James is a little over 15lbs. & 26 in. in length. The doctor says he looks really good, is where he should be developmentally and in terms of eating & sleeping, mom and dad are doing a good job with him. It's hard to believe how fast he is growing these days. He can sit unassisted, although he wobbles a little bit. He can roll over front to back in either direction and even does a mini army crawl where he pulls himself across the floor. He still hasn't mastered pulling his knees up under him to help him a long.
Our guy has four little teeth and has tried: yellow squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, bananas, and apples. The doctor says we can add meat and grains to his diet now. We are trying to learn how to use a sippy cup but that's still a work in progress. No real words yet either...Jamie does like to say Baaa, baaa, baa throwing in the occasional da, ma or la. However, he doesn't really associate them with anything yet. Mom and dad have learned a few ways to make him giggle, laugh, and smile. We are still experimenting with sleep and last night he had a great night. Although he woke up several times, he went back to sleep on his own.
We've been busy here getting ready for daddy's birthday which is next week and while shopping today, we stopped to pick up these treats for after dinner. Don't they look yummy? Oh and what do you think of the new look? It seems like everyone is moving or remodeling their blogs and after investigating Wordpress, I decided to stick with blogger since I'd have to import all my pictures all over again and that seemed like way too much work. It's not that I'm lazy...but I just have a lot of pictures in posts. For now I'm satisfied with the new look. We'll see. Now I'm thinking about how to change the look of my other sites.

Thanks for visiting my blog and entering my drawing.
It's nice to meet you and read about Jamie. And those fairy cookies do look yummy!
I *love* the new look!!! (I didn't have any problems with my pics coming over on wordpress though)
Those cookies look really yummy! And my gosh, I remember the days when Zoe had to get shots. I made my husband take her, I think I cried more than she did when I went. :-(
*cute plaster*. I am going to hate taking my little Pea to the Doc for injections, I agree with Indigo, rather send Dad. I can't even take my little dogs to the vet without crying *pathetic*
Sounds like your little one is at a great age now :) I can't wait, so excited. Enjoy.
Love the new look! You have a new write-up in your profile, too. I'm wracking (racking?) my brain trying to decide if I knew you were a stay-at-home mom. I probably did know that at one time. Memory is the first thing to go in a chronically sleep-deprived person, isn't it?
