Time Flies

Yuck, my spacebar keeps sticking. Not sure what the deal is there. I was just thinking about last year at this time. I just reread some of my blog entries to see exactly what I was doing. I forgot that we took a trip to Chicago. I wish we could take another trip somewhere. We may be heading to Albany in January though. Jake and his college buddies try to plan a meeting once a year to catch up and have fun. I'm not sure if I want to go or not. It would be fun but now we have James which is a whole lot of junk to pack. Plus-I'm not sure he'll fit into their schedule of fun. We'll see. I also don't know if my parents will be so keen on taking Teddy for the weekend either. Especially since the dog line was taken out by the huge October storm we got. (One of the trees supporting the line was destroyed and had to be cut down.)

James. At this time last year I was only about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant. I could have never known how much things would change. I now have a gorgeous 5 month old who laughs when tickled, rolls over onto his belly when put on his back AND *knock on wood* has been sleeping 6-9 hours a night. I remember reading when I was pregnant that if you can get through the first few months, it gets so much better. They were so right. We've started giving him some solid foods despite all the controversy to exclusively breastfeed to 6 months. He is ready for it and loves the applesauce and rice cereal we've started him on. I don't know about Jake-but my mom started me on solids and I turned out ok AND have no food allergies.

Not much else happening. Time is really passing fast and Jamie is getting so big. I'm trying to focus on Christmas and starting my shopping. The stores certainly are ready...at Halloween time they were already stocking shelves with holiday treasures and trinkets. I even heard a few Christmas tunes the last time I was in Kohls.

*yawn* James is napping so now is my chance to either shower or work on some more laundry though I feel like taking a big nap too.
