Ban All Commercials!

I just heard on the radio this morning that Snickers has pulled their "kiss" commercial because The Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation complained that it promotes homophobia. What!?! Well, then maybe we should pull the Bud Lite "slap" commercial because it promotes domestic violence. Maybe we should pull the beer commercials because they promote alcoholism. Someone could probably find something wrong with every commercial. I'm all for gay rights, but I think this is silly. I don't think the commercial was saying that being gay was wrong or making fun of it-but just poking fun at two men who obviously are not gay. *shrug* In any case, Snickers still wins in the end because they get more advertising with or without the commercial. Satisfied?
